Our San Angelo division is dedicated to
UNIFORM TIRE QUALITY GRADING (UTQG) TESTING.
The United States Government requires that all passenger car tires sold in the US have a UTQG grade on the sidewall of the tire. All testing must be performed to government standards on a government approved site. (see UTQG Government Rules)
TEXAS TEST FLEET is certified by the Department of Transportation to provide this grade. With our wet traction trailer we can provide you with the wet traction grade you need to mold onto your tire.
We can also perform the treadwear portion of the required government testing. The approved route travels 800 miles a day with a measurement every day
until completion at 7200 miles. All tires are graded against a government specified control tire.
Our San Angelo division will also perform non-UTQG testing out of their facility as requested.
